    | | Here are the four mount pads
for my motormount. They started out as a piece of .080" 4130 2"
wide by 5.5" long. I marked two bend lines on them. Inserted them
into a sheet metal brake and made the first of the two bends. I placed
a 3/4" spacer between the first bend and the clamp on the brake and
made the second bend. I made sure they were parallel and strait. The location
for the 1/2" tube was made and drilled through both ears. The tubes
were welded to the ears and the welds ground flat. | . |

    | The Ears were bolted to a
        3/4" piece of plywood with the holes centered on 10 1/4 x 10 1/8".
The four pieces of 3/4" .049 wall square tubing was cut and fitted.
Everything was welded up and the welds ground flat. This finished the
bed portion of the mount. | |

    | A vertical jig was added to
the firewall jig and the bed was clamped to it. The bed was checked for
squareness, plumb, and being on the centerline of the firewall. All the
3/4" .049 wall runners were fitted and tack welded in place. The
1 1/4" x .120" wall nosegear tube was added along with the four
        support braces. | |
